I Cannot Do Anything About Bebo's Insecurities

Ever since film maker Imtiaz Ali chose Deepika Padukone over Kareena Kapoor for Love Aaj Kal opposite Saif Ali Khan, the actors have reportedly not been seeing each other eye to eye.

In a recent interview, Deepika said even if Kareena has any issues with her then it is her insecurity, "Well that’s her insecurity I can’t do anything about that. But we’ve had no problems."

Rakhi Sawant wants no string attached to her panties

The producers of a show that Sawant has been roped in for were in a tizzy with her when she made a bizarre demand.

Sawant has been preparing to host Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaniyan and has lost a lot of weight to look slim and svelte.

While she has told the production house about her demands when it comes to clothes and accessories, the crew became apparently miffed with the starlet as her bills shot up beyond the estimated budget.

Shah Rukh is like family

Sanjay Dutt insists there is no truth to stories of a reported fight between him and Salman Khan. He says, “These reports are rubbish. Salman is my younger brother. After the supposed fight, I shot the Big Boss promo with him. Do you work with someone so coolly after a fight?” The supposed spat broke out at Maanyata’s surprise birthday bash, held at Sanjay’s sister Namrata’s house at Pali Hill on July 21. Salman had allegedly refused to address Maanyata as ‘bhabhi’ (sister-in-law), which didn’t go down too well with Sanjay. The Dabangg star was miffed that his pal Sanjay had refused to play the role of his father in the upcoming Bodyguard, but agreed to do a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s superhero project RA.One.

Interestingly, Sanjay hadn’t invited SRK for the birthday party, choosing instead to host a private dinner for him and wife Gauri a few days later. Sanjay explains his decision, saying, “Shah Rukh is like family. Why can’t I invite him over for dinner?”

Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza in Masti sequel

Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza’s relationship is perhaps the most speculated one in Bollywood.

But what we know for sure is that Ritesh and Genelia will be sharing screen space in the sequel of the hit comedy movie Masti. Producer Ashok Thakeria is quoted as saying: “Yes, we are going ahead with the Masti sequel. And the cast will remain largely unchanged, including Riteish and Genelia.”

Interestingly, Ritesh and Genelia, who made their debuts together with the film Tujhe Meri Kasam, have even signed an untitled rom-com which will be directed by debutant Mandeep Kumar and produced by Tips.

They were last seen together on screen in Masti which released in 2004 and since then there have been rumors surrounding their relationship.

Ind vs Eng: Ishant, Bhajji strike, England 3 down

A staunch opposer of the Hawk-eye technology, the BCCI could be persuaded to allow its usage in the Decision Review System by batting legend Sachin Tendulkar who has been convinced about its utility by the innovation's inventor. Hawk-Eye inventor Paul Hawkins met Tendulkar before the
start of India's ongoing Test series against England and claims to have removed all doubt from the batting maestro's mind about the system. "The problem has been that the BCCI have made decisions without knowing the facts.

It was clear Tendulkar had been told the Hawk-Eye system was manual, requiring an operator. He wasn't aware it is automatic and beyond corruption by humans," Hawkins was quoted as saying by 'The Daily Mail'. "Once we had set the record straight with him, he left saying he would tell the BCCI and recommend Hawk-Eye was used.

Himesh and I never broke up: Salman

Blame it on his bratty ways but there are a few things that only Salman Khan can pull off. One can imagine what might have run through the producers’ minds when the actor told them that he’d like his bodyguard to unveil the first look of his next film. Of course the fact that the film, titled Bodyguard, has Khan playing a minder makes it a completely legitimate marketing move.

So, on Friday afternoon, while Khan dressed down in a “Being Human” T-Shirt, his personal bodyguard Shera, who has been with him for 15 years, came in a suit and tie to unveil the first look. Kareena Kapoor, who plays the leading lady opposite Salman in the movie, was dressed in character — a white kurti with orange trimmings with colourful accessories — styled by Manish Malhotra. The other key crew members, producer Atul Agnihotri was present with wife Alvira and the director Siddique, attended too. There was some emotional talk too, as Shera vowed to be there for “Salman Bhai, as he is the most genuine human being” and Khan admitted to having been hugely inspired by Shera for his role in the movie. Kapoor, probably feeling left out in the bromance, just said that she was glad she had Khan for a bodyguard now.

Punjab Deputy CM unveils urban development packages

The announcements made by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal at Jalandhar to woo the urban voters ahead of next year's state Assembly polls are "too little too late", Congress today said. "The people of Punjab cannot be fooled by the tempting promises of Sukhbir Singh Badal which have no scope of being executed," Congress spokesman and Ludhiana MP Manish Tewari said at a meeting of party workers here. Sukhbir Badal had made series of announcements in Jalandhar yesterday, which were related to urban development in the state. Among the packages were grant of municipal corporation status for big cities like Moga, Phagwara and Pathankot, extending non-construction period of buildings up to 15 years and amnesty in payment of arrears of house tax, water supply and sewerage charges. Tewari claimed that for the last four and a half years the Akali-BJP government did nothing "except for looting and robbing the state of all its resources." The Congress leader said people know the real face of this government and such announcements at the fag end are not going to help.

Delhi Belly is being redone into a separate version with fresh editing and prints, crafted especially for the TV audiences. “Besides redubbing a lot of parts, we are also rewriting certain sequences and jokes from the original. There’s a considerable amount of work. It feels like I’m making it all over again,” laughs the director, Abhinay Deo.

Delhi Belly’s fresh version will be sans any gaalis (bad language) but will retain the basic humour and punch of the original. And Aamir has entrusted director Abhinay with the responsibility of getting this new version out. The superstar is content with the new version. “Akshat (Verma) and Abhinay have rewritten the dialogues of Delhi Belly’s fresh version and the humour is working extremely well. I’m sure it will bring in new audiences for the film,” says Aamir.

Imran Khan's stylish tribute to three Khans

http://www.planetradiocity.com/home/images/mr_news/MBKD_72220111935241.jpgImran Khan will match steps of three illustrious Khans — Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman — in his next release, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The title track of the film will see him imitating the signature moves of the trio in the song, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan… Matrimonial Ki Aankhen… composed by Sohail Sen and shot over three days.

It will begin with Aamir’s famous Aati Kya Khandala… from Ghulam (1998), with a bit of Rang De Basanti (RDB, 2006) thrown in. “I saw Ghulam when I was 14. I remember the song more than the movie. It was one of those rare times when a hero did his own playback (singing). Mamu did a spectacular job with the lip sync,” says Imran. “RDB is another milestone, as for the first time, I felt a film was speaking for the ‘intelligent’ youth of our country.”

I did the show for the stunts

Last night, Aarti Chhabria was declared the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar. To most, the victory didn’t come as a surprise. About two months ago, almost every publication in the country had carried pictures of Aarti celebrating her win with other contestants from the show.

Aarti, “Apparently, somebody vicious and without sportsmanlike qualities wanted to sabotage the show or raise its TRPs. I kept calling it a rumour all this while, as I wanted the news to be out on the day of the telecast. But I would surely like to know who gave the news out.”

The celebration party pictures in question had Diandra Soares and Kashmera Shah among others. “We didn’t have a photographer at the party, which was hosted by Sumit Suri and Kashmera Shah. I didn’t even cut the cake. I didn’t want to go for the party in spite of being called constantly, as it had gotten really weird for me. In a competition, everybody wants to win, and some present didn’t know how to take it when they were celebrating my success.”

Mayank Shekhar's review: Singham

The hero, in a massive leap of faith, rises up in the air, flings his legs out, thumps his palm on top of villains’ bobbing heads. Victims fall flat to the
ground. They could be buried six feet under, with the same thudding sound. At one point, for lack of a better weapon, he yanks off a street lamppost, goes charging against a bunch of goons zipping off in their topless jeep. Which is unnecessary. His hands (“gaon-wallah haath”) alone could do the job. As they often do: dozens lick dust, in one fell swoop.

You see. He’s the “sher”: there’s fair debate over whether that word is Hindi for tiger, or lion. In this case, it certainly means the latter – a loud one roars from the screen when the hero swaggers in. The filmmakers are clearly proud of their stunt scenes first. Not only is there an action director credited, the filmmaker (Rohit Shetty) takes separate billing for “action designer” in the opening credits. Minor mentions of other influences, say, the Bruce Willis starrer Red (for the swirling cop-car sequence) could’ve been grand gesture as well.

The super-hero is called Singham. What kinda family name’s that? Well, it means the lion in Sanskrit, more importantly, is the title of a Tamil blockbuster this flick’s based on. Which is the way the cookie crumbles.

RGV Feels Sorry for Mahie Gill

http://img.16reels.com/pictures/news/displayimages/2996.jpgMay it be for her bold role in ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster’ or for lip-locks to intimate scenes in ‘Not A Love Story’, Mahie Gill is often making into news these days.

The actress was showered with appreciation for her work in Ram Gopal Varma’s crime thriller based on the infamous Maria Susairaj. From lip-locks to intimate scenes, and even more, Mahie is said to have given 100% to whatever the script demanded. And the most-talked about the actress is that she did without questions.

And obviously, as one can guess, the most happy man is the film director RGV, who found it so easy to work with the actress.

He said “She understood the script so well. I felt odd that I had to put a girl in such a situation. There were retakes, too. And that felt more awkward," he said.

ZNMD and Harry Potter rule at the box-office

Friday saw the release of two of the most anticipated films, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) that had a high voltage star-cast like Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin. Then there was the film from the Harry Potter franchise, which brings an end to its chapter, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2. With the Bollywood and a Hollywood film at the tug-of-war, this weekend, it was a nail-biting situation at the box- office, but the results clearly state that it was a win-win situation for both films.

“ It was the biggest weekend of the year for the multiplexes all over India with two of the most-awaited films that released, “Sunil Punjabi, CEO of Cinemax, stated. “While ZNMD had 90 per cent and above occupancy, Harry Potter received 80 per cent. But as compared to Potter’s previous film releases, this one took away all the cream as it created record at the opening weekend of the box-office, as compared to any other international releases.”

Is Kareena Kapoor Replacing Aishwarya Rai in Heroine?

After the announcement of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy, Madhur Bhandarkar had been endlessly searching for a new item girl to be cast in his dream project, Heroine. Bhandarkar can finally get back to business as Kareena Kapoor has agreed to step in to the role.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Siddharth Roy Kaur, CEO of UTV, and the film’s writer, Niranjan Iyengar, flew down to Hyderabad to meet Kareena and convince her to take part in the movie. Kareena Kapoor was visiting boyfriend Saif Ali Khan, who is shooting for his next film.

The meeting obviously went well as Kareena Kapoor agreed to take part in Heroine, but only under a few conditions. Kareena Kapoor is uncomfortable with the intense lovemaking scenes with Arjun Rampal and Arunoday Singh.

“Kareena has consented to the snorting, drinking and smoking scenes. Earlier, she had strong reservations against them. Now, she just doesn’t want to do the explicit lovemaking scenes with Arjun Rampal and Sudhir Mishra’s discovery Arunoday Singh. Those scenes are extremely sexy and Kareena is just not comfortable doing them,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.
