Legal notice to 'Delhi Belly' over abuses

Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly has taken the box office by storm. And now, the film is set to hit the small screen in a new avatar. Delhi Belly is being redone into a separate version with fresh editing and prints, crafted especially for the TV audiences. “Besides redubbing a lot of parts, we are also rewriting certain sequences and jokes from the original. There’s a considerable amount of work. It feels like I’m making it all over again,” laughs the director, Abhinay Deo.

Delhi Belly’s fresh version will be sans any gaalis (bad language) but will retain the basic humour and punch of the original. And Aamir has entrusted director Abhinay with the responsibility of getting this new version out. The superstar is content with the new version. “Akshat (Verma) and Abhinay have rewritten the dialogues of Delhi Belly’s fresh version and the humour is working extremely well. I’m sure it will bring in new audiences for the film,” says Aamir.

http://zns.india.com/upload/2011/7/24/sanjay-salman-382.jpg
On Thursday night, at Maanyata Dutt's birthday bash, the Dabangg man had yet another fight. This time however, it wasn't with any other Khan but filmmaker Bunty Walia.

Sanjay Dutt threw a lavish birthday party for his wife Maanyata and invited all his close friends home, which needless to say, included both Salman and Bunty.

According to sources from the party, Salman, who walked in well past midnight, went straight to Bunty and started arguing with him. Within no time, the fight became ugly. Before it could come to fisticuffs, Dutt's business manager and close friend Dharam Oberoi intervened and took Walia away.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Sanju held the party to bring in his wife Maanyata's birthday. He had invited all his close friends including Ameesha Patel, Neha Uberoi, Fardeen Khan, Zayed Khan, Ashish Chowdhury and many others.

Imran Khan's stylish tribute to three Khans

http://www.planetradiocity.com/home/images/mr_news/MBKD_72220111935241.jpgImran Khan will match steps of three illustrious Khans — Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman — in his next release, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. The title track of the film will see him imitating the signature moves of the trio in the song, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan… Matrimonial Ki Aankhen… composed by Sohail Sen and shot over three days.

It will begin with Aamir’s famous Aati Kya Khandala… from Ghulam (1998), with a bit of Rang De Basanti (RDB, 2006) thrown in. “I saw Ghulam when I was 14. I remember the song more than the movie. It was one of those rare times when a hero did his own playback (singing). Mamu did a spectacular job with the lip sync,” says Imran. “RDB is another milestone, as for the first time, I felt a film was speaking for the ‘intelligent’ youth of our country.”

I did the show for the stunts

Last night, Aarti Chhabria was declared the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi Torchaar. To most, the victory didn’t come as a surprise. About two months ago, almost every publication in the country had carried pictures of Aarti celebrating her win with other contestants from the show.

Aarti, “Apparently, somebody vicious and without sportsmanlike qualities wanted to sabotage the show or raise its TRPs. I kept calling it a rumour all this while, as I wanted the news to be out on the day of the telecast. But I would surely like to know who gave the news out.”

The celebration party pictures in question had Diandra Soares and Kashmera Shah among others. “We didn’t have a photographer at the party, which was hosted by Sumit Suri and Kashmera Shah. I didn’t even cut the cake. I didn’t want to go for the party in spite of being called constantly, as it had gotten really weird for me. In a competition, everybody wants to win, and some present didn’t know how to take it when they were celebrating my success.”

Mayank Shekhar's review: Singham

The hero, in a massive leap of faith, rises up in the air, flings his legs out, thumps his palm on top of villains’ bobbing heads. Victims fall flat to the
ground. They could be buried six feet under, with the same thudding sound. At one point, for lack of a better weapon, he yanks off a street lamppost, goes charging against a bunch of goons zipping off in their topless jeep. Which is unnecessary. His hands (“gaon-wallah haath”) alone could do the job. As they often do: dozens lick dust, in one fell swoop.

You see. He’s the “sher”: there’s fair debate over whether that word is Hindi for tiger, or lion. In this case, it certainly means the latter – a loud one roars from the screen when the hero swaggers in. The filmmakers are clearly proud of their stunt scenes first. Not only is there an action director credited, the filmmaker (Rohit Shetty) takes separate billing for “action designer” in the opening credits. Minor mentions of other influences, say, the Bruce Willis starrer Red (for the swirling cop-car sequence) could’ve been grand gesture as well.

The super-hero is called Singham. What kinda family name’s that? Well, it means the lion in Sanskrit, more importantly, is the title of a Tamil blockbuster this flick’s based on. Which is the way the cookie crumbles.

Southern Sirens' knock on Bollywood's door

Sashaying in Malayalam and Tamil films since 2001, Asin became a sensation in Bollywood when the Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini hit cinema halls in 2008. Though her next Hindi film, London Dreams with Salman Khan didn't exactly make a mark, she tasted commercial success again with Annes Bazmee's Ready opposite Salman. Extremely selective about the films she takes up, this Keralite beauty looks like she's here to stay.

RGV Feels Sorry for Mahie Gill

http://img.16reels.com/pictures/news/displayimages/2996.jpgMay it be for her bold role in ‘Saheb Biwi aur Gangster’ or for lip-locks to intimate scenes in ‘Not A Love Story’, Mahie Gill is often making into news these days.

The actress was showered with appreciation for her work in Ram Gopal Varma’s crime thriller based on the infamous Maria Susairaj. From lip-locks to intimate scenes, and even more, Mahie is said to have given 100% to whatever the script demanded. And the most-talked about the actress is that she did without questions.

And obviously, as one can guess, the most happy man is the film director RGV, who found it so easy to work with the actress.

He said “She understood the script so well. I felt odd that I had to put a girl in such a situation. There were retakes, too. And that felt more awkward," he said.
